The admins had looked into this project over a year ago but the admin had asked that we hold off due to stability testing. Recently Nico gave permission and the project has ran stable for quite some time. Though there wasn't a notice in advance in the open forums, we went ahead and added it. That was an oversight probably on my part. However, if anyone has objections with that project, please express your concerns here and we will consider the implications, cost, and merit.

Thank you in advance.

I've spent more CPU cycles trying to get work from DDM than actual work done. DENIS worked for half a day before running dry. Universe@Home has been very stable for me.

Adding the project premature was my fault. Apologies.

If there is issues, I will pull it.

Not able to crunch it again "HTTP bad gateway" every day there there is some server/connection error on this project. It's currently not fit for this competition.

Agreed. Communication to project servers is very unstable, causing participants to only get very little work, if at all. 60K of total credits daily according to boincstats. This one should not be in the vault. Not yet, anyway.

No problem.

@Coleslaw: Sorry for putting words in your mouth.

Still it is handy to have a bit of discussion before adding a project.

Hi Da-Grizz,

That makes sense, because I have stopped maintaining it :)

However, since my team used it extensively for stats, it has been setup elsewhere, and maintained by one of my teammates : http://roarnet.nl/iis/dpc/dcTeamStats.aspx

Cheers,

Yeah and again that was purely my fault. I didn't mean to 'push the button' but did and until the Vault does a stats run, I do like pulling them as it screws it up and I have to beg Nano for mercy.

It appears the project can not handle the influx of users demanding work. But it could just be a case that someone is sick and hasn't had time to up the auto WU generator.

So, it comes down to this
Who is Luke's father?

Umm, crap.. no

Leave it and wait for a reply from Nico or pull it.

I just checked my stats for the project and got this
Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Beyond the lack of work to download I have had many issues uploading and accessing the site. It seems to be a bandwidth/resources issue.
