Looks like a project from 2013 has been taken over by new familiar blood and is coming back to life.

Medical in nature.

Easy to join with easy Team creation. Stats showing on boincstats.com

URL is http://www.drugdiscoveryathome.com/#

And to Join https://boinc.drugdiscoveryathome.com/

Please test and advise.

** NOTE ** lots of work units available but they are very short duration.

Tons of work seems to be available. The work units I have ran seem very stable. The admin staff have returned after a brief hiatus as they worked out their differences. I will let everyone decide for themselves on how they feel about the drama that went on. For now, what does everyone think about the project and possibly its inclusion in the DC-Vault?

In fact, we lost trust for their intentions as we (after few hours of very difficult discussions) found, that their just use our job to create scam project to collect money from investors.
Currently we discuss future steps what we should make.

So, as we wrote before, we have to apologise all of you and just finish work on this server and be in hope, that you will join us in eventual new project when the all mess finish...

I have signed an agreement, which separates one project from another and transfers my rights on SONM project to another team (under certain conditions, which are not disclosed yet). The job, which was done by Krzysztof Piszczek and Krzysztof Faryna is crucial for DrugDiscovery@home.
Nobody was cancelling our agreement with them regarding DrugDiscovery@home, which was signed and is still in force.
All my duties regarding DrugDiscovery@home and regarding shares of incomes, which Digital BioPharm ltd. will get from SONM are still in force.
I just renegotiated our agreement with CTO of SONM project, who now will lead SONM project. All situation is a very big pain for me as far as I feel somehow responsible for it, but I really have no ideal solution. Any assistance from community can be appreciated.

Dear Community members, project SONM was started by me and Sergey Ponomarev during summer 2016. The initial idea of the project was to build it on BOINC platform and develop P2P BOINC technology. Therefore Krzysztof Piszczek and Krzysztof Faryna were invited to make both DrugDiscovery@home and SONM project. DrugDiscovery@home was supposed to be a prototype for SONM project. However, during interaction of our lead developer Krzysztof Piszczek and SONM CTO Sergey Ponomarev different views on technology have started to arise. Sergey Ponomarev has decided to avoid BOINC usage further. As a CEO I tried to unite the team, rather than identify the issue as soon as possible. That was my mistake. Early stage separation of team into two could be a solution. This has led to current team separation. I am convinced that team of Sergey Ponomarev, Alexey Antonov and other team members (russian part basically) can make a successful ICO and a valuable decentralised general-purpose computing platform SONM. Therefore I have signed an agreement with them, which upgrade our technological map and invite new members in the SONM platform.
Project DrugDiscovery@home exists since 2009. Until now the team of Krzysztof Piszczek and Krzysztof Faryna were the best BOINC administrators team, which was managing the project. However, as a CEO I did a mistake and invited the same team into two different projects, which raised issues with another part of the team in the second project. The second project, where our colleagues from Poland were involved was SONM.
Krzysztof Piszczek and Krzysztof Faryna were mostly involved in DrugDiscovery@home project and therefore are very welcome to proceed with its development. All rights on scripts, related to DrugDiscovery@home project are transferred by Sergey Ponomarev to the project DrugDiscovery@home and its team (Krzysztof Piszczek and Krzysztof Faryna). I am ready and happy to ask Krzysztof Piszczek and Krzysztof Faryna to continue their work on DrugDiscovery@home and ready to transfer to them a leading role in DrugDiscovery@home project instead of me.
All efforts and suggestions from BOINC and Blockchain communities to unite the team and prevent destruction of the projects are welcome!

why should this project be included to the vault ?

After few months and loads of discussion about future of our project we decide that project will be continued in a bit changed team.
At the moment, before we decide to involve other people in it we will stay with:

Andrey Voronkov as project main scientist.
Vladimir Berishvili - project scientist.
Krzysztof Piszczek - main developer, server administrator.
Krzysztof Faryna - project developer, server administrator.

Project is not connected with sonm.io initiative any more on any way.

So, currently we will test server to be sure that applications and work units are ok and everything is going smoothly.
The cryptocoins featured will be completely changed in near future but at this moment it isn't in our main scope.

The team appears to have stopped their squabbling and has gotten back to work. Work units are flowing. Why wouldn't DC-Vault include them is a better question? Please give your complete thoughts and opinions on the matter. All voices are heard this way.

Well since my original posting on this thread the project has been very stable.

The Drama in the quotes above is very interesting, but if they all are in time sequence then the drama appears to be over and now is just history.

Science is science and I am inclined to give them another chance.

Well now we have an interesting turn ... project has regular work for Linux boxes, but has had no Windows based WU's for Windows based systems.

Appears that this is a repeat of a issue back in March 2017 and this time has been for the last 7 days.

:(

Bill

Well the Project has released a new application called gromacs. All of the WU's are GPU based for Linux or Window systems and at this point very Beta.

Lots of errors and lots of forum posts while they beat the bugs out of the code.

Thanks

The project continues to run solid for me. The GPU work units go fast when they are available as a few people seem to gobble them up with tricks and large caches. The project is aware of the complaints but not a lot of detail on whether they are fixing it. However, the GPU work is still in testing. As of right now there are a lot of CPU work units. We still have not gotten approval from the admin in the thread above. I'm PM'ing him again to try and get a response.

Still no response but that is not abnormal for this admin as he rarely replies to requests at any of the projects he is affiliated with.

Interesting 626 Active Users have 3509 Active systems working the project. No one seems to be complaining about a lack of work at the moment yet....

Project Server Stats show zero ready to send and over 869K work units being worked.

Well it has been another two months and like an advertising bunny this project just keeps right on going.

Coleslaw has this one aged enough to be considered for a stress test ?

I was going to make a challenge for it. However, if they aren't producing much work, it probably isn't worth doing yet.

One of the admins is the same over at Goofy and has recently had some complications resulting in hospital time. He just got out not too long ago and is playing catch up with a lot of things.

Bill

Have to say I am confused ? Does not have a Team or Team structure. When I look at BOINCStats they currently show 370 teams under the DrugDiscovery@home project.

Thanks

Rusty is trying to say that BOINCStats was stating no team. Rusty, can you have BOINCStats look for your account by clicking on sign up for new projects link?

Also, I do see it listed under this list - https://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/team/detail/28154/projectList

They appear to have plenty of work at the moment. I will see about a stress test date that will work.

I think that is a clear answer to how this project has been behaving lately. It is not supplying sufficient work to be challenge worthy. Neither admin is quick to respond and are always busy with something. They take on too much and don't manage their projects well because of it. Until they take this project more serious and give it the attention it needs, it is my recommendation to put it on the back burner.

+1. Only 6 out of 17 teams in the challenge were able to get tasks/credits. Not a good sign for the project.
